The memorial complex 'Khatyn' is the national shrine of memory and unique by perpetuating the memory of the inhabitants of Khatyn, residents of hundreds of burnt Belarusian villages and civilians killed by the Nazis during World War II. The complex consists of several separate elements, including the bronze sculpture of 'Unbowed Man' and symbolic monuments for each of the 26 homes burned.
