Memorial complex "Monument to the Soldiers-Internationalists"

The Memorial Complex "Monument to the Soldiers-Internationalists" honors Belarusian soldiers who died fulfilling international duty, particularly in Afghanistan. Located on an artificial island in the Svisloch River bend near Minsk's Trinity suburb, the complex opened August 3, 1996, and features four memorial altars inscribed with the names of fallen soldiers, memorial stones honoring border guards and missing service members, and a waterfront promenade renamed "Embankment of Soldiers-Internationalists" in 2015.
