Separate exposition "In Memory of the Patriots of Vitebsk Region 1941-1945"

The exposition is housed in the basements of the Vitebsk theological school building, which during the fascist occupation of Vitebsk was home to the Security Service Operational Team (SD-9) (from August 1941 to December 1943). The upper floors of the building were used for interrogations, while the basement served as a prison cell. According to incomplete data, only for the period from July 18 to December 18, 1942, 3026 people passed through the dungeons of the SD.The restored cells contain photo-documentary materials about the heroes of the Vitebsk underground resistance who languished there: Vera Khoruzha, Sofia Pankova, Evdokiya Suranova, Antonina Yermakovich, Raisa Sheryakova, Eduard Grebenkov, Lidia Berezkina and others.
