The Archives and Local History department at Whitby Public Library acquires, preserves, interprets, and makes available unpublished records reflecting the history, growth, diversity, and development of Whitby and its people. Resources include over 3,000 family files for genealogy research, digitized historical photographs, and searchable newspaper archives.
