Batoche National Historic Site
Batoche National Historic Site on the banks of the South Saskatchewan River commemorates Louis Riel and Gabriel Dumont's final stand during the 1885 Northwest Resistance, and celebrates the resilience of Métis culture. Visitors can journey back to 19th century Métis settler life in this significant Parks Canada site located one hour north of Saskatoon.
