Bytown Museum

The Bytown Museum is Ottawa's community museum, telling the stories of an evolving city and its residents — from the First Peoples of the Anishinàbe Algonquin territory, through the early days of Bytown, to present-day Ottawa. Housed in Ottawa's oldest stone building beside the Rideau Canal, the museum presents permanent and temporary exhibitions, an audio guide, mural and virtual tours, school programs, a cafe and boutique, and venue hire. Recent temporary exhibitions include 'Capital Healers'.
