Courthouse Museum (Cardston Historical Society)

The Courthouse & Heritage Museum is housed in the Cardston Court House, built between 1906 and 1909 from finely crafted St. Mary River sandstone to mark Alberta's creation as a province. Acquired by the Cardston & District Historical Society in 1983, the museum displays exhibits on the Kainai/Blood First Nation, early white settlers and the arrival of the Hutterite people, alongside the building's original judge's bench, witness box and jail cells. Original artwork depicts the local history of the North West Mounted Police around the Cardston district.
