Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village

The Upper Ottawa Valley Heritage Centre (also known as the Champlain Trail Museum and Pioneer Village) connects the history of Pembroke and the Upper Ottawa Valley region with contemporary life through exhibitions, programming, and a rich collection of artifacts. Highlights include items relating to local sports, farming tools, a water wheel, Algonquin First Nations artifacts, and a Corliss steam engine, alongside sections on the fur trade and lumber industry. The site features restored historic buildings including a one-room schoolhouse, log dwelling, blacksmith shop, and pioneer church.
