Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site

The Ermatinger·Clergue National Historic Site in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, comprises two historic buildings that tell the story of the city's fur-trading and industrial past: the 1814 Ermatinger Stone House, the oldest stone home in Ontario west of Toronto, and the Clergue Blockhouse, the former office of industrialist Francis H. Clergue. The site features period rooms, costumed interpretation, and exhibits on the families and history that shaped Sault Ste. Marie.
