Fort Wellington National Historic Site

Fort Wellington National Historic Site in Prescott, Ontario, is one of the best-preserved nineteenth-century fortifications in Canada. Built by the British to defend their colonies against American invasion, the site presents the strategic importance of the St. Lawrence River before, during, and after the War of 1812.
