Gendai Gallery

Gendai Gallery, founded in 2000 in Toronto, supports contemporary practices primarily by East Asian artists and artists of colour. Its mandate is to cultivate dialogue through contemporary art with a multi-disciplinary programme spanning visual art, design, performing arts, literature and architecture, including the Gendai Mobile Unit — a flexible artwork that doubles as seating, a presentation space and a storage unit at Toronto Biennial of Art's Programs & Learning Hub.
