Historic Gaol | Huron County

The Huron Historic Gaol is a unique octagonal building which served as the County Jail from its opening in 1841 until closure in 1972. Now a National Historic Site, it originally housed inmates and served as a House of Refuge, offering visitors a fascinating glimpse into Ontario's penal history.
