Inuit Heritage Trust

The Inuit Heritage Trust (IHT) is a non-profit organization based in Iqaluit, Nunavut, mandated to protect and promote Inuit cultural heritage across the Nunavut Settlement Area. The Trust oversees Inuit place names (Inuit Uqausiit), archaeological sites, and historic resources, working to preserve Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit (traditional knowledge) and ensure heritage sites are safeguarded for future generations.
