MacBride Copperbelt Mining Museum

The MacBride Copperbelt Mining Museum is an interpretive museum located at Mile 919.28 of the Alaska Highway, just north of Whitehorse on the edge of the historic Whitehorse Copper Belt. The museum preserves the copper mining history of the region, including exhibits on the Pueblo Mine Disaster and a 2.5 km interpretive train ride through the northern boreal forest. Copper deposits were first discovered in the area during the 1897 Gold Rush.
