Murney Tower Museum and National Historic Site

Murney Tower Museum is one of Kingston's four Martello Towers and the only one open to the public. Operated as a museum by the Kingston Historical Society since 1925, it presents the life of soldiers and their families stationed in the tower during the 19th century. A National Historic Site of Canada, the Martello Tower was built in the 1840s as part of Kingston's coastal defence system along Lake Ontario.
