Kawartha Lakes Museum & Archives

Kawartha Lakes Museum & Archives is housed in the former Lindsay Jail, a historic stone building constructed in 1863. The museum showcases the history and heritage of Lindsay and the Kawartha Lakes region through permanent and temporary exhibitions, retaining intact portions of the original gaol for visitors to explore. The archives hold documentary and photographic records of local history.
