Barkerville Historic Town
Barkerville Historic Town & Park is a National Historic Site in British Columbia's Cariboo region, preserving the legacy of Billy Barker's 1862 gold strike on Williams Creek. The site brings the Gold Rush era to life along a streetscape of over 125 heritage buildings, with working displays, museums, and costumed interpreters telling the stories of a 19th-century mining town. Visitors can explore historic homes and shops, book campgrounds and accommodations, and experience the forests and mountains of Nature's Heartland. The main season runs from late May through mid-September.
