Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum
Founded by Norman Luxton in 1953, Buffalo Nations Luxton Museum in Banff is one of Alberta's oldest museums and is dedicated to educating visitors about First Nations cultures of the Northern Plains and the Canadian Rockies. The museum highlights the return of the buffalo to Banff National Park, the signing of the Buffalo Treaty, and the cultural significance of the bison to Indigenous peoples, with exhibits, demonstrations and storytelling.
