Butchart Gardens
The Butchart Gardens is a 122-year-old, world-famous 55-acre display garden in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia. Created by Jennie Butchart and still privately owned and operated by the family, it features the Sunken Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, Italian Garden and Mediterranean Garden, and was designated a National Historic Site of Canada in 2004 for its centenary. Visitors can also enjoy on-site restaurants, a seed and gift store, the Rose Carousel, and seasonal night illuminations.
