Centre d'interprétation de l'agriculture et de la ruralité

The Centre d'interprétation de l'agriculture et de la ruralité (CIAR) in Métabetchouan-Lac-à-la-Croix is dedicated to raising awareness of the unique character of rurality and northern agriculture in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region. The site features the "Champs du pays" permanent exhibition, an animated farm, a vegetable maze, garden and orchard, as well as a reconstituted settlement camp from 1868 illustrating the life of the region's first colonists.
