Laurel Packing House

The Laurel Packinghouse in Kelowna, British Columbia, is the oldest surviving packing house in BC, dating to 1917 when it served as a hub for sorting and shipping the Okanagan Valley's renowned fruit harvests. Now part of Kelowna Museums, this National Historic Site has been transformed into a multi-purpose heritage building that celebrates the region's orchard and agricultural history. Its exhibits explore the development of the fruit-packing industry, the stories of the workers and families who built the Okanagan economy, and the broader cultural heritage of British Columbia's interior.
