Le Poste de traite

Le Poste de traite de Desbiens, also known as the Centre d'Histoire et d'Archéologie de la Métabetchouane (CHAM), invites families to explore the encounter between Indigenous and European cultures through interactive, multisensory exhibits about the origins of Lake Saint-Jean. Open June through September, the site offers guided tours, workshops, children's programs, and Indigenous culture interpretation, with free parking and a gift shop on site.
