Lieu historique national du Canada de la Bataille-de-la-Ristigouche

The Battle of the Restigouche National Historic Site in Pointe-à-la-Croix, Quebec, commemorates the final naval conflict between France and Great Britain for North American territory in 1760. For 200 years, the wreck of the Machault — a 26-gun military sailing vessel — remained underwater, and visitors can now explore its remains and the history of this decisive sea battle.
