Centre d'archives de Laval

The Centre d'archives de Laval (CAL) is the principal repository of Laval's archival heritage, preserving more than 80 archival fonds and about ten collections - over 40 linear meters of textual documents and more than 45,000 iconographic documents. Officially created on January 12, 2010, the Centre received municipal accreditation as a professional organisation in 2011 and BAnQ accreditation in 2013. The CAL preserves 11 collections and 101 private fonds, makes descriptive notices of processed fonds available online via the ArchiLog tool, and provides a public image bank to discover its photographic holdings.
