Centre d'histoire de Montréal

The MEM – Centre des mémoires montréalaises is the contemporary successor to the Centre d'histoire de Montréal. Located at the corner of Sainte-Catherine and Saint-Laurent in the heart of the Quartier des spectacles, MEM is a contraction of "Mémoire + Montréalais-es" and encourages appreciation for the diversity of Montrealers' identities and their histories through authentic, inclusive human experiences in which citizens gather and tell their stories. The permanent exhibition invites visitors to explore the city through the eyes of those who call it home, supplemented by extensive online content including the MEM Encyclopedia and podcasts.
