Centre d'information Artexte
Artexte is a library, research centre and exhibition space for contemporary art whose collection of over 30,000 documents covers the visual arts from 1965 to the present, with an emphasis on the art of Canada and Québec. Over 80% of acquisitions come from donations by the visual arts community. Since opening its exhibition space in 2012 at the 2-22 building in the heart of Montreal's Quartier des Spectacles, Artexte has presented exhibitions in dialogue with documentation of contemporary art, print and art publishing. The e-artexte database is accessible on site and online via the digital collection.
