Chauvin Trading Post

The Chauvin Trading Post is a reconstruction of the first settlement of New France, built in 1600 by Pierre Chauvin de Tonnetuit for fur trading. The 1942 replica showcases artifacts from Indigenous peoples and the New France era with interactive exhibits, period displays, and educational materials about European-Indigenous contact.
