Maison nationale des Patriotes

The Maison nationale des Patriotes is a museum dedicated to the history of the Patriotes — the rebel movement that fought for democratic reform and the rights of French Canadians in the Lower Canada Rebellions of 1837–1838. Spread across two historic sites — the Jean-Baptiste-Mâsse house in Saint-Denis-sur-Richelieu and La Prison-des-Patriotes-au-Pied-du-Courant in Montréal — the museum offers permanent and temporary exhibitions, guided tours, educational programming for schools, summer camps, and a boutique. It is recognised and supported by the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec.
