Heimatmuseum Alt Falkenstein

Housed in Schloss Alt-Falkenstein near Balsthal, this Heimatmuseum has presented a richly varied collection of regional art, craftsmanship and everyday life since 1929. Highlights include the Aedermannsdorf ceramic 'blue family', a 16th–17th century arms and armour room, and important fossil finds (including new sea-urchin species) discovered by museum founder Anton Nünlist.
