Historisches Museum Basel – Haus zum Kirschgarten
The Haus zum Kirschgarten is part of the Basel Historical Museum (HMB) and is devoted to the domestic life and interior culture of Basel's 18th- and 19th-century affluent bourgeoisie. The building, completed in 1775 for the silk merchant Johann Rudolf Burckhardt-Merian, contains magnificent period rooms with original furniture, porcelain, silverware, and textiles. One admission ticket grants access to all three HMB sites for seven days.
