Castel Grande

The Fortezza di Bellinzona is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (since 2000) comprising three medieval castles — Castel Grande, Montebello, and Sasso Corbaro — along with fortified walls and borough ramparts. It represents the only visible example of medieval military architecture in the entire Alpine arc and houses museums dedicated to archaeology and history.
