Château de Chillon

The Château de Chillon stands on the shores of Lake Geneva near Montreux at Veytaux and is one of the most-visited cultural sites in Switzerland. The medieval and romantic fortress — a flagship of Swiss and world architectural heritage — offers self-guided tours with multilingual notices, themed guided tours for adults and children, around 40 events and workshops a year, the on-site Café Byron and elegant rooms available for hire. Run by the Fondation du Château de Chillon, the site is part of the Swiss Museums Association and the Vaud Riviera tourist network.
