Château de Coppet
The Château de Coppet, on the shores of Lake Geneva in the canton of Vaud, was the home of statesman and financier Jacques Necker and his daughter, the writer Madame de Staël, who turned it into one of Europe's most influential literary salons. Today the château is run by the Othenin d'Haussonville Foundation and welcomes visitors from April to October for guided tours of the historic interiors, and is also available for weddings, receptions and cultural events.
