Dorfmuseum Gontenschwil

The Dorfmuseum Gontenschwil is housed in a former parsonage from 1592 in the Aargau village of Gontenschwil. It presents permanent exhibits on the Zschokke family collection, cooperage and carpentry tools, the village pastors of 1848–1896, Achilles Zschokke's late-19th-century travels through Switzerland, confirmation photographs from 1954 onwards, and a photographic record of the village's transformation over the past 50 years. A 2026/2027 special exhibition explores the world of bees. Admission is free and donations welcome.
