Château de Gruyères

Eight centuries of architecture, history and culture meet at the Château de Gruyères, the emblematic former residence of the counts of Gruyère perched above the medieval town. Permanent collections trace the building and its noble owners while a lively programme of contemporary art exhibitions, family events and special evenings — including the annual Swiss Castles Day and Museum Night — keep the legend alive. The château is a member of Les Châteaux suisses, Musées en Gruyère and AMCF/VMKF.
