Heimatmuseum Küssnacht am Rigi
The Heimatmuseum Küssnacht presents life and history across the three villages of the Bezirk Küssnacht — from the earliest settlers and the Gesslerburg legend to the project for a balloon railway from Immensee to the Rigi and the tragic 1935 accident of Belgium's Queen Astrid. A sound-and-image programme presents the famous Klausjagen and the six-yearly Sennenchilbi customs. Operated by the Historischer Verein, the museum opened in 1951 in the former 'Spritzenhaus' fire-station building.
