Laténium, Parc et Musée d'archéologie de Neuchâtel

Laténium is one of Europe's largest archaeological museums, set in a stunning parkland on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel in Hauterive, Switzerland. The museum and archaeological park spans some 8,000 years of regional history — from Neolithic lake dwellings to the Roman era — with over 2,500 objects on permanent display. Its centrepiece is a remarkable collection related to the La Tène period, the Iron Age Celtic culture that takes its very name from discoveries made on this lakeshore. Visitors can explore reconstructed pile dwellings, Bronze Age canoes, Roman artefacts, and hands-on exhibits that bring prehistoric life vividly to life. The outdoor archaeological park is free to enter and features full-scale reconstructions of lakeside settlements alongside a walking path along the lakeshore.
