Gonzen Bergbau-Museum

Bergwerk Gonzen in Sargans, Switzerland is the country's largest visitor mine, set within a labyrinth of tunnels approximately 90 km long where hematite, magnetite, and hausmannite were extracted until the mine closed in 1966. Operated by Pro Gonzenbergwerk, the site offers guided tours of varying lengths together with a museum (expanded in 2017) showcasing the work of the miners, plus a restaurant cavern and an on-site wine cellar. Tours last 2–3.5 hours and require advance reservation.
