Archäologisches Museum Schötz

The Archäologisches Museum Schötz, founded in 1937 and operated by the Heimatvereinigung Wiggertal, displays archaeological finds from the Wauwil plain and the Wiggertal spanning the Stone Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Roman period, and Middle Ages. Its highlight is a selection of exclusive finds from Egolzwil 3, the earliest farming village in Switzerland and part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The museum is situated under Turnhalle 2, next to the St. Mauritius Chapel.
