Archäologische Sammlung der Universität Zürich
The Archäologische Sammlung of the University of Zurich, founded in 1854, is the oldest Swiss public collection dedicated exclusively to the archaeology of the Mediterranean and the Near East. Its holdings comprise an Antikensammlung of about 8,400 ancient original works from the Mediterranean, Near East, and Egypt, and a plaster-cast collection of nearly 1,500 casts of major Greek and Roman sculptures. The collection also maintains an eCollection with online access to hundreds of objects.
