Ecomuseum Simplon / «Alter Gasthof»

The Ecomuseum Simplon is a regional ecomuseum project in the Swiss Alps that grew out of a community conflict and is dedicated to interpreting the Simplon Pass and its built and natural heritage. The Alter Gasthof in Simplon-Dorf is one of its sites, alongside an old barracks (Alte Kaserne) in Zwischbergen, the Fort Gondo and a Goldminenmuseum, plus historic routes such as the Stockalperweg. The network offers exhibitions, themed walks, and walking packages with luggage transport.
