Centre Dürrenmatt

The Centre Dürrenmatt Neuchâtel (CDN) is a museum and cultural centre dedicated to the visual and literary work of Friedrich Dürrenmatt (1921-1990), one of Switzerland's most important playwrights and novelists, who was also a passionate painter and draftsman throughout his life. Designed by architect Mario Botta and inaugurated in 2000, the CDN integrates Dürrenmatt's former residence and presents a permanent exhibition pairing his paintings with his literary work, alongside temporary exhibitions, school workshops, guided tours, and publications. The centre is located near Neuchâtel train station in the green Vallon de l'Ermitage.
