Château de St-Maurice

The Château de St-Maurice is a late 15th-century castle perched at the entrance to the Rhône valley in the Swiss canton of Valais. Destroyed by fire in the late 17th century and rebuilt within three years, it now houses original temporary and historical exhibitions devoted to drawn narrative — comic books, illustration, animation, press cartoons and humor. The castle is operated by the Fondation du Château de St-Maurice, created in 2004 to open the site to the widest possible public.
