Centre Albert Anker

The Centre Albert Anker, opened in June 2024, is dedicated to keeping alive the memory of Switzerland's beloved 19th-century painter Albert Anker. The centre is housed in the Albert Anker House, built by the artist's grandfather Rudolf Anker in 1803 in the typical farmhouse style of the Seeland region; the historic building has been protected by the Swiss Federal Government since 1977. A new art Pavilion presents temporary exhibitions, complementing the historic family home in the heart of Ins.
