Museo Mario Bernasconi
The Museo Mario Bernasconi in Pazzallo, Canton Ticino, Switzerland, is a museum and birthplace dedicated to the sculptor Mario Bernasconi (1899–1963) and his wife, the painter Irma Bernasconi Pannes (1902–1971). Bernasconi was born in Pazzallo in a house directly across from the museum and trained under Luigi Vassalli and Giuseppe Foglia, learning to sculpt marble and work clay while studying the human body with deep conviction. The house of birth displays works from the 1920s alongside drawings, photographs, and personal objects from the sculptor's life. The museum holds a permanent collection of artworks by both Mario and Irma Bernasconi and mounts temporary exhibitions drawing on their shared artistic legacy.
