Atelier-Musée Encre & Plomb

The Atelier-Musée Encre & Plomb in Chavannes-près-Renens is a working typographic printing workshop preserving more than 500 years of printing history. Run entirely by retired professionals of the printing trades, it offers guided tours and live demonstrations of manual and mechanical typesetting, letterpress and platen printing, and bookbinding, alongside a historical film about the craft. The atelier also produces its own publications, participates in external events and organises an annual open-doors day.
