Museo Castello San Materno

Museo Castello San Materno is an art museum housed in the medieval Castello San Materno, a historic fortified tower rising above the lakeside town of Ascona in Canton Ticino, Switzerland. The museum is part of the Musei Comunali d'Arte di Ascona alongside the Museo Comunale d'Arte Moderna, and together they hold the civic art collections of Ascona. The castle's collections include works connected to the Fondazione Alten and are displayed across the historic rooms of the tower, combining the experience of medieval architecture with Swiss and international modern art.
