Jahrhundert der Zellweger (Century of the Zellwegers) is a cultural heritage project exploring life in Trogen, Canton Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Switzerland between 1700 and 1850 — the era when the Zellweger family of textile merchants built their grand palaces around the Landsgemeindeplatz. The project brings together auditory, visual, and textual content, and on-site experiences, to reveal the stories of the people who built and inhabited these buildings and their connections to local and global history. The Zellweger family crest features Justitia, reflecting their ideals of justice in commerce and civic life.
