MUSEO ARQUEOLÓGICO MUNICIPAL-FACTORIA ROMANA DE SALAZONES

The Museo Arqueológico Factoría Romana de Salazones in Puerto de Mazarrón preserves part of the structures of a large Roman-era industrial complex used for the manufacture of salted fish and fish sauces (garum). The site has been designated as a Cultural Heritage site and offers a direct window into the Roman fishing economy of the Murcian coast.
