MUSEO DE LA VILLA ROMANA DE LA OLMEDA

The Museo de la Villa Romana de La Olmeda in Saldana, Palencia, presents the remains of one of the finest Late Roman villae in the Iberian Peninsula. The villa dates from the 4th-5th centuries AD and is renowned for its extraordinary mosaic floors depicting hunting scenes and mythological themes. A modern building covers and protects the site, and a companion exhibition in the Church of San Pedro in Saldana displays finds from the excavations.
